The Trident Spring Development Program provides motivated players the opportunity to train consistently over an 11 week period while taking part in exhibition games/jamborees. We are excited to offer a full spring program.  We feel that this segment of training and games contribute greatly to the development of young players. The Trident Spring Development Program is a competitive-development program where the lessons learned in the training sessions are linked to the games.

We have an alternate program for the spring for those players who want to simply train once per week with their age group. This is an option for players who are unable to commit to the FULL program (twice per week training and games) due to other time demands. The Trident once per week program will cost $275.00+GST. To register for the once per week training, use the registration link and select ‘Trident Once Per Week Development Program’.

Question: If we choose the once per week program can we select the training session each week that we wish to attend?

Answer: We certainly want to make it as convenient for all players as possible so we allow the once per week players to determine which session they attend each week.

Question: If we choose the once per week program am I able to play in the games/tournaments?

Answer: The once per week program fees do not include such costs as jamboree fees/game field fees/referee fees, which are included in the full program fee, consequently competitions are not included in this once per week program. However, we do ask that players complete the forms sent out each week and if an additional player is needed to create teams for games then we will place on a roster.

U13-U18 Goalkeepers have two training options within our Trident Spring program.

Option 1:

Cost: $275.00

Training will happen once per week and include 10 goalkeeper specific sessions.

Schedule:

Keeper training night To be Announced soon.

Option 2:

Cost: $480.00 + GST

Goalies wanting this registration will register in the full spring program and indicate in the registration that they are a goalkeeper. See “schedule and locations” above for all the info and dates.

2020 Trident Spring Goalkeeper Development Program will include Pacific FC’s first team goalkeepers Nolan Wirth and Mark Village.

** We include the goalkeepers in the age group sessions in order to develop their technical ability as a soccer player. The modern goalkeeper touches the ball 6-7 times more with their feet than they do with their hands so we feel that this is highly beneficial to their long term development.

Do I need to purchase full training kit and tracksuit?

No. Although full training kit will be available for purchase.

We will provide a training shirt. We ask that everyone wears this training shirt to every practice. This training shirt will also be used as game uniforms in most of our exhibition games.

What if I miss a night?

If you miss a training session then you will learn the content the following session as we review from week to week prior to moving onto a new reference/theme.

Do we play games in this portion of the Trident Program?

Yes, there are games. Now that club season is over apart from a few teams who have advanced to the Coastal Cup or Provincial Championship, we create and offer a number of games.

Goalkeeper - Trident Development Program

Our Trident Goalkeeper program is led by Pacific FC 1st team goaltender coach, Mark Village. Goaltenders will train with Mark inside the Island Training Centre through the winter. The focus of this program is to develop the goalkeeper skills and fundamentals of the game.  For new players to the Trident Program, being surrounded by returning players accelerates their growth and deepens the understanding of returning players as they both act as a peer-mentor and they are able to explore higher learning in an environment where they are comfortable.
